On Monday, we had a great evening event. The theme of the party was ‘BAD TASTE’ and the students all dressed up in a very interesting mix of clothes. To welcome the students was our very own home-made Fabian (our Swiss group leader) – dressed by our IP team in a colourful and interesting outfit. A gorgeous and healthy banquet of crocodile eyes (popcorn) and jungle pizzas (watermelon and kiwis) was also provided for the students. After an evening filled with dancing, Mr and Miss Bad Taste 2009 were elected by the students.

Montag, 3. August 2009This week was a special one, as announced before in the previous post, we went to Bordeaux for the first time this summer. Over 30 IP students participated in the trip, everybody came back tired, but full of wonderful impressions. The pictures speak for themselves – students enjoyed it a lot.
Volles Programm in Exmouth
Freitag, 31. Juli 2009The fifth week programme in the Exmouth centre challenged the students with sports, knowledge and talents competitions. The pub quiz and table tennis tournament were among the events which required high doses of team spirit and motivation to win. At the same time, however, the students were given the opportunity to relax through our dancing workshop, henna tattoos workshop, and several Gut Drauf/relaxation activities. The programme was complemented with excursions to nearby sightseeing sites, which fascinated the students.
Viele Ausflüge in Teignmouth

For one trip we went to Dartmoor which was really fascinating!
Wonderful and incredible landscape and actually we had perfect weather!!
A lot of animals like the Dartmoor Ponies, cows and sheep are moving free everywhere and there are no fences that keep them away from walking on and over the street. Our bus driver had to drive really carefully and slow, to get around all of them. We reached this great cliff in the middle of the Dartmoor on a hill where we climbed up the rocks.
Chichesters Strandausflug nach Bognor Regis

Juli 2009The sun was shining brightly as we stepped off the bus into the charming and picturesque town of Bognor Regis on Thursday 30th July. As soon as the bus doors opened, the students poured out, their excited chatter highlighting the anticipation that had been mounting throughout the journey from Chichester.
Of course, the main attraction in Bognor Regis is its beautiful beach. Some of the students ran straight into the sea, which was surprisingly warm!
Cornwalls Trip nach Plymouth

The trip to Plymouth started with a visit to a place of historical
importance: the Mayflower Steps. Here the Pilgrim Fathers left England on the Mayflower to settle in North America in 1620. It continued with a walk to a lighthouse, the Smeaton’s Tower. We had our lunch at the grass by the shore and enjoyed the view at the sea. After that, everyone had the possibility to discover the town on their own or go shopping. All in all we had great fun and the best weather.

Mittwoch, 29. Juli 2009The weather is turning better once in a while and so we could enjoy some of the afternoons at the beach and the students had a great time!!
Also the ‘limbo’ is liked a lot and we dance it almost every day, followed by the special IP-dance we introduced to the students.
Bournemouth feiert Weihnachten im Sommer
Dienstag, 28. Juli 2009On Monday, we celebrated Christmas for our Welcome Party. The Ocean was garnished with lots of festive decorations – not forgetting the all-important Christmas tree complete with presents underneath which the students had made during the afternoon workshop. When students entered, they had to fulfil the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe, which was caught on camera – of course!
Keine Zeit für Langeweile in Biarritz
Dienstag, 28. Juli 2009This week we had more fun than ever. Two trips to Saint Sebastian and Saint Jean de Luz gathered even more people than usually, as you may see from the pictures, everybody was satisfied with the trips, they came back to the hostel or host families exhausted, but happy. Students of IP club participate actively in every day activity programs offered by the team, there is no time left to get bored.
Kennenlernen mal anders – Speed Dating in Exmouth

After over 60 new students arrived the last weekend it was time to make new friends. That is why we organized a Speed Dating on Monday evening which everyone definitely enjoyed. Prepared with a set of several questions about interests, dreams and opinions, all girls met all guys and could evaluate who was their best partner. It was a great evening which supported the idea of International Projects.
