As usual a new group of language students made their way to Chichester leaving Germany on Friday. For many students it was a very exciting event to go by bus through the Channel Tunnel due to the reason that they had no idea how to get the bus into a train that is running through the Tunnel from France to Great Britain within 40 minutes.

After arriving in Chichester the students were offered numerous workshops and activities such as the Crazy Olympics and the Art and Craft Workshop. With a lot of enthusiasm some students joined the Crazy Olympic Games. The students were divided into equal groups who had to win several disciplines against the other team which can be seen on the pictures below.

Besides the Crazy Olympic Games the Art and Craft Workshop took place. In this workshop students offered to create their own plaster masks, which lead to some funny results.

In order to welcome the students and give them the chance to get to know each other better a Welcome Party was organized in the evening. The Party was highly attended by the students as the students were asked to mention their favourite songs to the DJ. Because of that it was quite difficult to finish the Party when the students were supposed to go to bed.

Another event which took place as part of the evening programme is the Crazy Dress Party where students were supposed to be dressed up in funny way in order to attend the party. A high number of boys decided to show up as girls whereas the girls found other interesting ways to dress up.

Even though the article spots only some highlights one has to say that all of us had a great week in Chichester.

On Saturday the students who were staying one more week in Chichester went to London. When arriving in London a short Guided Tour was offered in order to show the most famous places of London. After the Tour students had about five hours to enjoy the flair of the biggest City in Europe. Many participants decided to go shopping on Oxford Street or to visit the Abercrombie&Fitch Store which is not that easy to find.

At six o’clock the students who had only booked a day-trip to London returned to Chichester whereas the Overnights had the whole evening to enjoy London during the Night. In the late evening the students met with the responsible Supervisor in order to get to the Hostel which was close to the Tower Bridge.

The next day was used by the students to see more famous Sights of London and to continue shopping. Some students decided to see the Tower Bridge and also the Tower of London which is pretty close to the Tower Bridge. Moreover students took the chance to visit Madame Toussauds as well as the famous departement store Harrods.

All in all one has to say that all participants  really liked their time in London as they had numberous hours to explore London on their own.

On Monday we had classes in the morning and after lunch we went on a tour of Oberwesel. We saw all of the old churches and walls and towers and it was very interesting. After dinner we all saw a movie together.

The next day after the classes and lunch we went for swimming. We played with beach balls and splashed each other. That was a lot of fun! At night we had a karaoke competition where I sang all my favourite songs with my friends.

We went to see the Castle Eltz on Wednesday afternoon. It was very far away but we sang and played games in the bus. Castle Eltz was very old and very big. We had a tour where we saw the old rooms and furniture and even the kitchen. In the evening we had a picnic by the Rhine in a play area. We played badminton and Frisbee and went on the swings. I was very tired but very happy that day.

Thursday was the best! We played games and had competitions like the old knights who used to live in the castle. I got full marks on jousting! My favourite was the bow and arrow. At night we had a nice barbecue and a campfire and sang songs and told scary stories.

On my last day in Oberwesel, after the classes my friends and I prepared a song to sing in the evening. We had an open stage and then a disco later. I took lots of pictures with all my friends. The next morning I said by to everyone and went home. IP Oberwesel was the best summer week ever!

At 9 am our school began. Mostly one hour Grammar lesson one hour communication lesson and one hour reading lesson. And then for some pupils began the intensive group. There we had made our own magazine about our own topic, for example fashion, music or football. That was really funny.

After this began the happy time, called afternoon programme. We all played football or we went to the beach together. We made us tattoos or we played basketball together. We had a lot of fun all time. Tuesdays and Thursdays there was, for the pupils who want, half day trips to Torquay, the Dartmoor or Exeter. From the stones at the Dartmoor to the Primark in Exeter there were funny times for everyone.

At the evening some people go to the evening activities like Quiz night, movie night or Karaoke night and some people went every evening to the beach to look at the sunset, the sea and the moon. That was such a nice time for all of us, when we sing to Wonderwall from Oasis all time.

The most of us went to London at Saturday. Some had booked a one day trip and the others had booked an overnight trip  . The meeting point was the coach park at 6:45 am. After a 4 and a half hour drive, with the bus we arrived in London at 12 am. After a little guided tour we had free time. The most of us went to the Oxford street to go shopping. After 4 hour free time one group went home.

Last sunny Sunday, all students who were not on a trip to London enjoyed themselves very much during the Frisbee games and wellness workshop in the afternoon and the icebreaker games that followed in the evening.

In the afternoon, some very sporty students joined the Frisbee game led by staff member Florian.

In the wellness workshop the students, including even the boys, prepared natural masks using yoghurt and honey and a peeling out of yeast, salt and lemon to spoil their hands and faces. In the meantime, they did some manicure and painted their nails. To reach the peak of relaxation, the students sat in a circle massaging each other with the bone holiday and pizza massage.

After dinner, it was time for icebreaker games to connect the new arrivals with the students who have already been here for a week or more. As the weather was very nice we could play the games, such as name games with throwing a ball or using a tennis racket, on the lawn in front of the ocean lounge. All in all, we spent a very relaxed Sunday and recharged our batteries to start in a new week of English lessons.

Making new friends, having fun, getting to know the English culture and, of course, learning English. Every one of us hopes for those experiences on the day we left our homes.

For sure, everybody was nervous about the coming days in Exmouth, but already after one day, we´ve all made many friends. The IP-Team offers many afternoon- and evening activities every day. After having lunch together in the cafeteria, we`ve either played different sports, like football, basketball, volleyball, or card games. Furthermore we were often at the beach, enjoying the sun and hanging around with our new friends.

Naturally we wanted to see the typical and famous cities and landscapes. Therefore we`ve made a trip to London, the capital of England, where we could go shopping in Oxford Street. Also we`ve made a sightseeing tour to see the most famous sights, like the Tower Bridge or Big Ben. On one day, we`ve made a trip to Dartmoor, which is popular for its beautiful and unique nature. Every morning all teenagers went to school for three lessons. At first this was a bit unusual but also interesting and instructive. This helped us to improve our language.

All in all we enjoyed our holidays in England and many of us would like to come back for a second time.
