On Monday, we celebrated Christmas for our Welcome Party. The Ocean was garnished with lots of festive decorations – not forgetting the all-important Christmas tree complete with presents underneath which the students had made during the afternoon workshop. When students entered, they had to fulfil the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe, which was caught on camera – of course!

The students had gathered together in the Ocean and got to know about the entire history and the way a Henna Tattoo is made. After the theoretical input they could develop their own creativity and put everything into practise what they have learnt…

On Monday, we offered a Photography Workshop in which Anett, our Centre Manager, taught the students how to take perfect pictures. After a short theoretical session, they went out to test their new knowledge about point of views and orientation. The result were very beautiful and funny pictures.

The cross-dressing party was an ice-breaking and socializing event, when everybody had to lose their inhibitions and swap clothes. The afternoon workshops were provided for make up sessions in the „Beauty Salon”. The guys had to dress like girls and vice versa. The event started with a limbo entrance and a welcome drink surrounded by loud party music in the ocean. A catwalk was located in the middle of the room and the students loved to parade themselves.

As the first week draws to a close I do have to say that things have run very smoothly……however these could be the famous last words!!
All the students are in good spirits and appear to be really enjoying themselves with no apparent problems, or at least no problems that they have divulged.
Volles Programm im Englisch-Camp Bournemouth
Freitag, 3. Juli 2009Saturday 27th June: Our first Saturday turned out to be quite relaxing, since the students arrived later than planned – following the unexpected coach breakdown in Belgium. Once the students had all checked in, however, everything ran smoothly. The evening began with the welcome meeting in the park, and ended with a guided town walk of Bournemouth. The students were all very excited to see the sea and the beach for the first time! Luckily, it was a sunny day. In fact, we have been extremely fortunate with the weather for the whole of this week.

Offährte Sprachreisen – Gut Drauf zertifiziert

Als erster deutscher Reiseveranstalter bekam OFFÄHRTE Sprachreisen, der Spezialist für Schülersprachreisen, jetzt das “Gut-drauf“-Zertifikat der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung (BZgA) für seine International Project (IP) Clubs.
Der Bremer Veranstalter hat für 2009 insgesamt acht IP Clubs in England, Frankreich und in Deutschland im Programm.
“Gut Drauf: bewegen, entspannen, essen – aber wie!“ ist eine Jugendaktion der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung für 12- bis 18-Jährige.
Bewerber für die Zertifizierung sollten auf gesunde Ernährung, ausreichende Bewegung und Entspannung achten und die Kompetenz und Eigenverantwortung Jugendlicher stärken.
Als erster Veranstalter wurde OFFÄHRTE Sprachreisen von der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung zertifiziert In den IP Clubs verbringen Kinder und Jugendliche aus ganz Europa zwischen 8 und 18 Jahren aktive Sprachferien. OFFÄHRTE setzt neben professionellem Sprachunterricht auf ein ausgewogenes und erlebnisorientiertes Programm, Mit gesunder Ernährung, Entspannungsmöglichkeiten und einem bewegungsintensiven Freizeitangebot.
Exeter Streatham – Another exciting week
Dienstag, 22. Juli 2008Another exciting week has passed in Exeter Streatham Campus. We had a lot of fun during the days with sports and workshops, as well as in the evenings with the evening program. Workshops like photography, making friendship bracelets, henna tattoos, sports or the Fun Olympics kept the students busy in the afternoon. For the evenings we had a full program as well.
