Three amazing weeks in Bournemouth

After thinking about where to go on a language course over and                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               over again, we finally decided to spend three weeks in Bournemouth, being convinced by the short distance to London, the mild climate and the direct location to the Atlantic Ocean.
With two members of the IP Crew, Urenna and Cynthia, already waiting for us, we were really nice welcomed after the long bus journey. Then we were brought to our accommodation, Cranborne House, where we had a few hours time to relax.
Before we went on a guided town walk, we had an introduction and a summary of the daily activity programme, e.g. nail-painting, Henna Tattoo, Beach BBQ and basketball.

Last weekend our huge and fantastic London trip had been organized. We had the soccer and another daytrip group as well as one overnight group. After a long bus drive without a traffic jam- yaay – we finally arrived in London where two of the groups started right away with the sightseeing tour and some free time after. The soccer group drove directly to the Chelsea stadium where we got a guided tour through the whole stadium including the press room and the changing room of the famous soccer players.

Then going on trips is the best way to discover many of England`s classic tourist sights! For example: Go sightseeing in the big busy city London to see England`s most famous buildings and the place where the Royal Family lives; and go shopping till you drop in Oxford Street or just watch the specially-dressed inhabitants.

Unsere zweite Sprachreise zu Ostern ging ins englische Exmouth. Dort haben 16 Teilnehmer einen myteriösen Mord aufgeklärt und wurden ganz nebenbei zu richtigen Privatdetektiven ausgebildet! Während der Krimisprachreise haben sie gelernt, wie man Phantombilder erstellt, Fingerabdrücke von Gläsern sichert und mit Tinte Fingerandrücke nimmt. Es wurde natürlich auch regelmäßig gerätselt, wer denn der Mörder sein könnte. Die Ermittlungen führten die “private investigators” nach Torquay, London und Dartmoor. Viele schöne Fotos sind entstanden und ein paar Impressionen seht ihr hier!

Dear OFFÄHRTE-Team!

I LOVE EXETER!!!

My best holidays I’ve ever had were from the 4th till the 20th of July which I spend at St.Luke’s Campus at Exeter, which is one of the most beautiful towns in southern England.

Our Campus was great, a mix of modern and old buildings….I liked my room, it was very handy, and there are so much good things to say about that location. The only thing i didn’t like was the food, but we all survived, or not??!
I spend this holidays with many cool teens from Germany and Italy, and, of course, our great IP-team which came from all around the world! Together we had a funny, relaxing time and I enjoyed our programs in the evening, like the movie-nights, game-nights or our hawaiian party.

Chichester, best place ever : )

During my stay there, I met a lot of young people from other European countries and some of them became my friends. And still stay in contact with them, I chat with them on the internet and write letters to them.
