Freitag, 14. August 2009My Time Here
I was here two weeks.
When I arrived I saw the castle and I thought “it will be very great!” Every day we had so many interesting programs. In the morning we had four lessons and in the afternoon we had afternoon programs. On Monday we had a guided town walk in Oberwesel. On Tuesday we had workshops for example football and volleyball workshops. We had a half-day trip for example to Bingen on Wednesday. On Thursday there were the knight games.

Flower Power im IP Ocean Bournemouth
Dienstag, 11. August 2009One more week has passed, and the half-way point reached! With students, group leaders, and IP team members leaving, it really does feel very different each week. Leonie, Luisa, Nicolas and Fabian – we will truly miss you!! Leaving that aside, what else happened in Bournemouth as we left the month of July and entered August?
Our Flower Power welcome party was a huge success. Students came dressed in bright and colourful hippy clothes, and all sorts of flowers lined the walls of the Ocean. In the afternoon, several students had helped us with the party preparation, and they also made flower chains for themselves to wear in the evening. Before everyone entered the hall, each person became the centre of their very own special IP flower !

Volles Programm in Exmouth
Freitag, 31. Juli 2009The fifth week programme in the Exmouth centre challenged the students with sports, knowledge and talents competitions. The pub quiz and table tennis tournament were among the events which required high doses of team spirit and motivation to win. At the same time, however, the students were given the opportunity to relax through our dancing workshop, henna tattoos workshop, and several Gut Drauf/relaxation activities. The programme was complemented with excursions to nearby sightseeing sites, which fascinated the students.

Dienstag, 28. Juli 2009Kept in the dark until the very last minute, on Thursday evening we were finally led to “Chichester’s Castle”. This event saw a very enthusiastic and imaginative group of students create a series of challenging games designed to test the participants’ daring and nerve – and their ability to keep a straight face!

Internationale Freundschaften in Exmouth
Montag, 20. Juli 2009The third week in Exmouth can be described in only one word: internationality. The week started with an international night during which our German, Ukrainian, Spanish and Italian students represented their countries through dances, songs, and national anthems. Everybody was part of the international party which was at its peak when the Spanish were joined by the audience to dance the world-famous Macarena.

Spiele & Kicks
Donnerstag, 28.
